Ulises "La Serpiente" Hernández, a former Mexican boxing legend, flees to Canada after the tragic death of his brother, abandoning his career and spiraling into a life of bar fights and alcoholism. Haunted by memories of home and a barrage of violent news, Ulises becomes a shadow of his former self. When an old-school boxing coach sees the fighter still buried within him, Ulises is offered a chance at redemption.
